Prepping for future growth via increased infrastructure & membership support

ST. PAUL, Minn., July 12, 2017 – Achievement Rewards for College Scientists Foundation, Inc. (ARCS® Foundation) has retained nationally-renowned Ewald Consulting as its new association management partner, starting on June 15, 2017.

As it approaches 60 years of working to promote STEM higher education, ARCS Foundation finds its mission more vital than ever and is actively preparing for 60 more years of sustainability and growth. Ewald Consulting’s management support team will work with ARCS Foundation’s national board and committee volunteers to support many needs.

“Much consideration and study went into this decision to change direction with regards to our management team, and in the end we believe we have found a very good partner to meet our many varied needs,” said Andi Purple, ARCS Foundation’s new president. “More resources are needed to support expansion and successful implementation of ARCS Foundation’s long-range plan, and reliable, consistent, and accountable support is needed. Ewald Consulting offers specialized expertise in various aspects of non-profit management, and we are excited to work with them going forward.”

Ewald Consulting is a leading association management firm based in Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul that brings more than 35 years of expertise in non-profit management to their collaboration with ARCS Foundation. As one of the longest-standing association management companies in the industry, Ewald Consulting has a deep base of experience that qualifies them to meet the rigorous standards that ARCS Foundation has come to expect.

ARCS Foundation leadership feels that the engagement of outside management services is a critical component of their strategic plan and has been approved by its national board of directors. Their move from all-volunteer to professional management services is one of the foundation’s most significant milestones of the last half century. Among the reasons board members cited for their selection of Ewald Consulting were that the capabilities fit ARCS Foundation needs, they were impressed with the integrity and professionalism of Ewald Consulting staff, there are Ewald Consulting locations in two ARCS Foundation chapter locations, and Ewald Consulting has earned a great reputation with 40-plus association clients that resemble ARCS Foundation in many ways.

“ARCS Foundation has a vital mission to promote education in our nation, and it is an honor for us to put our wealth of experience and talented people to work on their behalf,” said David Ewald, CAE, president and CEO of Ewald Consulting. “We look forward to ARCS Foundation taking the next step in its growth.”
