REGISTRATION POLICY:

The policy for registration for National Board Meetings states that all National Board and Council of Advisor Members must pay the full registration fee for the meeting.  Guests of members may attend any food function and may pay only for that function. SEAC members who are not on the Board or the Council of Advisers are extended complimentary dinner and lunch.

NB Meeting registration deadline is April 9.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The hotel for the meeting is the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill on 400 New Jersey Ave.  The rate for our meeting is: $229, plus a 14.5% tax.  Now, here’s the problem.  After the contract was signed, and well before we realized we would have more people at this meeting as new board members will also be there, the Congressional Calendar came out. Congress will be in session, and the group in-house right before us picked up all the rooms on Tuesday night, 6 May.  We have a very limited number in our block for that night.   We are sure to run out quickly.  Our sales person will be keeping tabs on the other group’s pick up and any rooms they don’t use will go to us.  Here’s a suggestion if you don’t get a room for the 6^th.  If you can’t get in by the reception at 6:30pm on Wednesday, or if you need to meet that afternoon, plan to come in late on Tuesday night and stay in an airport hotel.   There are many hotels available at both Dulles and National including Marriotts, Hyatts, Hiltons and others. Then – come in to DC Wednesday and you can store bags until your room is ready. Gives you a great free day in Washington!  IF THAT HAPPENS, let Di know and she'll keep your name on a list in case we can secure more rooms.

ALL NB ATTENDEES ARE EXPECTED TO STAY AT THE HYATT REGENCY WASHINGTON ON CAPITOL HILL.

TRANSPORTATION TO WASHINGTON, D.C.

We have secured a possible discount on Delta Airlines for this and the next meeting.  The code is NMH5F.  When making your reservation, on the Delta website click on BOOK A TRIP, then at the bottom click on More Search Options.  There is a space for you to put in the discount code on this reservations page.  You will get the best fare which may include a discount.  If you are flying Delta, please make your reservations through this process as we are eligible to earn airline tickets for future use.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL

Reagan National Airport:  easiest is to take a cab.  it's very close and the fare is $17.00.

Dulles International Airport:  taxi fare is $75.00.  There is a Supershuttle that costs $31.00 for the first person and $10.00 each for others traveling together.  Call 1 - 800 blue van (258-3826) to make a reservation.
