ARCS Oregon Alum, Allison Anacker, Interviewed on NPR's Science Friday with Ira Flatow

Allison Anacker recieved her PhD degree at Oregon Health & Science University in Neuroscience and went on to Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in Neuroscience.  While at OHSU, Allison conducted her resarch in gender differences in substance abuse, addiction and susceptibility to relapse.  The Ryabinin lab's recent publication, Drinking alcohol has sex-dependent effects on pair bpond formation in prairie voles (Anacker AM, Ahern TH, Hostetler CM, Dufour BD, Smith ML, Cocking DL, Li J, Young LJ, Loftis JM, Ryabinin AE), has received a significant amount of media attention including National Geographic, Time, Smithsonian Magazine, Popular Science, and Health Canal.
