Caron and Larry Ogg Endow Perpetual Scholar Award

Posted on Wednesday, October 26, 2011

At the 7th Annual Scholar Awards Luncheon, The Board of Directors of the Oregon Chapter announced that it has received a $200,000 donation to the Endowment Fund.  This major gift will establish the first permanently endowed scholar award.  The contribution is a groundbreaking event for the Oregon Chapter and means that going forward, into perpetuity, one student will receive a scholar award of $6,000 annually.  The award recipient will rotate every three years between OHSU and OSU.

The Chapter is enormously grateful for this very generous gift.  It is the first of what we hope will be many more permanently endowed scholar awards.    Many thanks to our donors, Caron and Larry Ogg, for this gift; their ongoing support of numerous scholar awards, leadership and foresight in establishing this gift is truly appreciated.
