Phoenix Chapter to Tour the ASU Polytechnic Campus

pThe Phoenix Chapter Winter field trip is this Thursday, February 2nd to the ASU Polytechnic Campus.nbsp; Vice Provost and Dean Mitzi Montoya is excited about showing us the campus and the College of Innovation and Technology./p pWe will tour the Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building III which is a 34,000 square foot research facility supporting the Applied Cognitive Sciences Institute, Healthy Lifestyles Institute, Applied Biological Sciences and the Arizona Biodesign Institute. Building III earned a Gold rating through the U.S. Green Building Councilrsquo;s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systemtrade;.quot;/p pWe will get an in-depth look at the Laboratory for Algae Research and Biotechnology, which is at the forefront of ASU green technology research. Its primary focus is on the use of algae as a renewable and sustainable source of oil for biodiesel and other bioproducts./p pFinally, we will see the Engineering Studio and Start Up Lab, an innovative ASU program to assist with technology transfer- the start of great things! All this, and a delicious lunch---it#39;s going to be a great day!!/p pnbsp;/p
