ARCS Portland Organization

Portland ARCS Foundation is one of 17 chapters nationwide, operating independently under the umbrella of the National ARCS Foundation. The Portland chapter was incorporated in 2004 and presented its first eleven scholar awards in October of 2005.

An elected Board of Directors oversees all phases of the Portland Chapter of ARCS Foundation. Monthly Board meetings are held to discuss the work and progress of the committees.

Officers of the Board include: President, Vice President and in some years President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer.

Committees include: Communications, Development, Finance, Governance, Membership, Program, Scholar Awards Luncheon, and University Relations. In addition, there are several Members-at-Large who serve on the Board.

The fiscal year is July 1 - June 30. The annual meeting is held each May. Our largest event of the year is the Scholar Awards Luncheon in October, when the Board presents scholars with their monetary awards.

The President attends all National ARCS Foundation Board meetings.
