The Chicago Chapter of the ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Foundation is one of fourteen chapters that is dedicated to helping the best and brightest United States students by providing scholarship support in the natural sciences, medicine, and engineering. Our goal is "Advancing Science in America."

For the academic year 2007-2008, ARCS chapters contributed over $4.5 million to 544 students at 44 colleges and universities.

Since the Chicago's Chapter's charter began in 1977, $1,978,900 has been awarded to 326 graduate and undergraduate students attending:

Loyola University of Chicago
Stritch School of Medicine

Northwestern University

The University of Chicago

The University of Chicago
The Pritzker School of Medicine

For the academic year 2008-2009, the Chicago Chapter  awarded $240,000 to 24 ARCS Scholars. Annual fellowship support is $10,000.
